PNEUMONIA Definition: "Pneumonia is an infection of pulmonary parenchyma". (Harrison)                                                    OR "Pneumonia is defined as an acute respiratory illness associated with recently developed radiological pulmonary shadowing which may be segmental, lobar or multilobar".
